On February 5, an exclusive PhysMath School alumni networking event took place in Glendale, Los Angeles. The event was initiated by the PhysMath Friends Charitable Foundation with the support of the Foundation’s ambassador, PhysMath alumnus, and Director of the Karas restaurant chain, Tigran Yuzbashyan, who also served as the host of the evening.

A significant contribution to the organization and coordination of the event was made by Ana Acton, Program Coordinator at the Hi-Math Foundation, who ensured dynamic engagement among attendees and facilitated an online connection with participants joining from Armenia.

The meeting provided an opportunity for guests to gain deeper insight into the Foundation’s mission and initiatives. Participants discussed ways to expand these efforts, strengthen their long-term sustainability, and further define their roles as members of the PhysMath community and supporters of the School. The atmosphere fostered open and constructive dialogue, meaningful exchange of experiences, and the development of new partnerships.

Among the guests were Hovik Safoyan, Founder of SADA Systems, as well as representatives from UCLA and NASA. Joining online from Armenia were the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PhysMath Friends Foundation, Haykazn Navasardyan, Executive Director Serine Avetisyan, and alumni and friends of the School who were unable to attend in person.

The evening once again affirmed that PhysMath is more than a school-it is a values-driven community whose strength lies in unity, responsibility, and confidence in the future. Attendees expressed their commitment to continuing their support for the School and the Foundation, advancing innovative approaches to education, and working together to build a more sustainable and forward-looking environment for the next generation of PhysMath students.
