Back in May 2025, the Foundation’s Board of Trustees approved the Olympiad Support Program, aimed at ensuring continuous development and an effective professional environment.

The program includes several steps designed to enhance the Olympiad clubs, such as:

Increasing honoraria for club instructors,

Developing curricula and methodological guides for the subjects of Physics, Mathematics, Informatics, and Astronomy,

Introducing and implementing a rewards policy for medal achievements in international Olympiads,

Supporting students’ participation in international Olympiads (covering travel, accommodation, and other essential expenses).

Visible Results in the First Year

The results did not take long to appear.
By September 2025, the number of Olympiad club sessions at the PhysMath School had grown significantly—from 15 the previous year to 29.

The Foundation’s support also enabled Olympiad training to begin at a younger age. This year, clubs were formed starting from the 7th grade, instead of the previous 9th-grade start.

This approach not only increased student engagement but also contributed to creating a more inclusive educational environment—the number of students attending Olympiad clubs grew by around 40%.

New Collaborations and Professional Expertise

One of the key achievements of the program is the involvement of Nairi Sedrakyan, who joined the teaching team and will conduct classes remotely despite being outside Armenia.
Mr. Sedrakyan has made a significant contribution to the development of mathematical sciences in Armenia and internationally. He has long served as the coach of Armenia’s teams for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), a member of the IMO jury and problem selection committee, and a jury member of the Zhhautykov International Olympiad.
