As part of these initiatives, we are launching a new series of personal stories highlighting the achievements of Physmath students in international Olympiads.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Meet Tigran Matsakyan, 17-year-old physmath student who won a bronze medal this summer at the International Olympiad in Informatics held in Alexandria, Egypt.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Why Informatics?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

My love for mathematics started back in the 5th grade, and because PhysMath is known for its strong focus in this area, I chose to continue my studies here. Over time, I discovered that I\u2019m also deeply interested in informatics. I find informatics problems genuinely beautiful, and I really enjoy the process of thinking them through.<\/span><\/p>\n

International Olympiads<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Taking part in Olympiads has taught me how to stay composed in stressful situations. It has also strengthened my communication skills, as Olympiads bring together people from different backgrounds and cultures, helping us broaden our worldview. I also love traveling, and Olympiads have been a great opportunity to explore new places.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inspiration in Informatics<\/b><\/p>\n

My inspirations are the graduates of our school whom I\u2019ve had the chance to meet, as well as fellow Olympiad participants. Their achievements motivate me, and I aim to reach their level.<\/span><\/p>\n

Future plans and dreams<\/b><\/p>\n

I plan to continue my studies in the field of Computer Science. I want to pursue my education abroad, although I haven\u2019t chosen a specific university yet.
